Schools concert on 3rd October 2 pm at Oxford Town Hall
We once again warmly invite local schools to join us in a celebratory concert which opens our festival!
Our deeply held belief is that classical and contemporary music should be a language familiar to everyone. It is out of absolute conviction we believe that music should be accessible to everyone and to bring it to children and make it accessible and alive for them is vital for our culture and growth.
This year we are happy to announce that BBC presenter Alexander Armstrong will moderate the concert. The programme includes excerpts from Vivaldi’s Four Seasons, Vaughan Williams’ The Lark ascending, Tchaikovsky’s Rococo Variationsand further chamber music surprises.
Please contact Will Anderson at office@ocmf.net for more information.
This year’s school concert is sponsored by our partner schools d’Overbroeck’s and Summerfields.
