2004: Russia +
In 2004 the Festival looked East, to focus on Russian music from 19th century favourites, Tchaikovsky, Rachmaninov and Borodin, right up to the present day.
Sofia Gubaidulina and Elena Firsova featured as joint composers-in-residence.
