Oxford Chamber Music Festival 2008

Supporting the Festival

The support of our Friends, Angels and Patrons is extremely important in keeping the Festival running. The income from these donations last year represented 20% of the total Festival income, without which we would not be able to continue. We do hope you will able to support us this year.

Below are benefits we offer in return:

  • Advance warning of forthcoming Festival concerts and activities
  • Priority booking
  • Newsletters throughout the year
  • Your name listed in the Festival programme
(please let us know if you wish to remain anonymous)
  • Benefits provided by Festival partners
  • Free Festival CD of selected performances, sent after the Festival
  • Invitation to the launch concert and drinks reception
  • A chance to meet the artists after concerts

You may be interested to know where the money for the Festival comes from and goes to. The Oxford Chamber Music Foundation, a not-for-profit charity, needs to budget carefully, as putting on high-quality chamber music in small venues at affordable ticket prices is a challenge. As you can see from the charts below we rely heavily on your support, as well as sponsorship and the generosity of family trusts, individuals and grants. We try to keep our administrative costs to a minimum, which is helped greatly by the continuing involvement of our many unpaid supporters, helpers and volunteers.

OCMF funding and expenditure

Your donations are eligible for Gift Aid, which means that the Festival can reclaim basic rate tax paid on your donation and, if you are a higher-rate taxpayer, you can reclaim a further amount.
