‘Borodin’s G major quartet is one of the pieces I remember playing most often and most happily, from my earliest student days until now. It evokes Russian fables and fairy tales, palaces, love letters, ballrooms, St Petersburg in June and the endless beauty of Russian Nature.’

An informal recital by undergraduate music students from Oxford and Cambridge. These musicians have been touring local secondary schools introducing pupils to chamber music and encouraging them to make use of the Cavatina free ticket scheme.
